caroline, it's a funny thing because Camel doesn't appear on my profile anymore but it does appear on the dashboard so I think it's still accessible from beta.

That beta screwed everything up. I guess Blogger ditched it and now have "new blogger". I've been tempted to swtich but I fear messing everything up--I'm pretty happy with Old Blogger so far. Anyhow it's great to see this blog come to life again.

yes, when you switch not much changes, but as soon as you take on the extras, like labels, all your old customisation disappears. effectively you start again - which is what I've done, but I wanted to anyway to deal with the multi-browser issues!
however, once the basics is sorted I have found new beta to be easier for adding page elements like links, scripts, text and images.

About the Beta thing: as root member ("owner") of CE, I don't think it can change to Beta/new Blogger until I do...On my dashboard I can see the invite to update, but when I try to do this I am told it isn't possible for the time being. Probably delay due to blog-bulk?
Ah so the problem is that we haven't got enough Elbowroom that explains it! ;-)
Thanks for the welcome and the comments, I can log with beta to leave comments, aslong as Caroline is happy to upload my work it's not a huge problem me being a bit beta is ?!
